James died in Bemis on September 19, 1912; unable to find any hospital records, death records, etc,. Also, James son, Vernie O. Ellis, born 1895, died August 25, 1914 and is buried next to father. Looking for information on Charles Harrison Lovrien (nickname Charley) who was living in Bemis in 1910. He was a machinist at the Bemis Cotton Mill in 1910. His daughter’s death record (March 1909) was found on the TN death index. The family was listed in the 1910 Bemis census. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Looking for information on William Carter. 1900 census shows he and his family living in civil district 18, McNairy, Tennessee. 1910 census shows Carter family – William, head; Mary, wife; Minnie, daughter; Lou, daughter; Mansel, son living on C Street in Bemis, Tennessee. On this website there is a picture of school children from 1910. Does anyone know any names to go with the children pictures. Minnie and Lou were 13 and 12 at the time. My dad was Travis Lee Weir; his father was Sam Weir and his mother was Lillie Mae Henderson Weir. That is about all I know about my grandparents. I know that my dad had several brothers, Jessie, William, and Tommy and possibly one other brother. He had two sisters, Mattie and Kathleen.
